Ultrafast Photodetector with Current Monitor, 700 - 870 nm, DC - 25 GHz, FC/PC
DXM25CF
-
The DXM25CF Ultrafast Detector is a DC - 25 GHz, fiber-coupled, GaAs-based photodetector designed for applications in the 700 nm - 870 nm wavelength range. The core element of the detector is the fiber-coupled, hermetically sealed, microwave detector module. For convenience and simplicity of use, the module is mounted inside a rugged housing that includes a rechargeable battery, current monitor circuitry, and a digital display of the DC photocurrent.

Optics
-
Welcome to Thorlabs; below you will find links to optical components and systems, a subset of our entire line of photonics products. All single element optical components can be found under the optical elements link with the exception of optical components that have polarization properties since they have a separate link. Multi-element systems like beam expanders and objective lenses as well as interferometers, fiber collimators, reference cells, modulators, and other optical devices can be found by choosing the optical systems link. Thorlabs also manufactures an extensive line of free-space and fiber optic isolators; stock items ship the same day that they are ordered while our custom orders benefit from our streamlined design and manufacturing process, which minimizes lead time.

Optical Power And Energy Meters
-
Thorlabs' expanding line of optical power and energy meters includes power meter consoles, a large selection of sensor heads, a wireless power meter with a built-in photodiode sensor, and a fiber optic power meter designed for use in the field. The consoles (PM100, PM400, and PM300 Series) when paired with our extensive line of power and energy sensors provide calibrated (NIST traceable) measurements across a broad range of powers, energies, and wavelengths. The console(s) and sensor(s) can be purchased individually or as bundles based on our most popular console and sensor pairings. The sensor calibration data is stored in the sensor head and is automatically read by the console, which allows the user to use multiple sensors with the same console. Compatible sensors are easily identified by the red c-series connector. All of our old A/B-Type sensors are available with the new connector; plus, we have continued to expand our power and energy sensor product lines.

Fourier Transform Optical Spectrum Analyzer, 600 - 1700 nm
OSA202C
-
Thorlabs' Optical Spectrum Analyzers (OSAs) perform highly accurate spectral measurements. Compatible with fiber-coupled and free-space light sources, these compact benchtop instruments suit a wide variety of applications, such as analyzing the spectrum of a telecom signal, resolving the Fabry-Perot modes of a gain chip, and identifying gas absorption lines. Many commonly available OSAs use grating-based monochromators, which have slow acquisition times due to the need to mechanically scan the grating and average out noise at each wavelength. Thorlabs' OSAs acquire the spectrum via a Fourier transform using a scanning Michelson interferometer in a push/pull configuration. This approach dramatically improves the acquisition time, enables a high-precision wavelength meter mode with 7 significant figures and ±1 part-per-million accuracy, and allows the included software to provide robust statistical analysis of the acquired spectra, as explained in the Design tab.

Detectors
-
Thorlabs' photodetectors are capable of detecting light throughout the UV, VIS, NIR, IR, and THz spectral regions. Our photodetectors feature sensors that enable properties such as intensity, power, intensity distribution, wavefront shape, energy, and wavelength to be measured. We offer unmounted photodiodes as well as amplified, biased, and avalanche photodetectors. Thermal power detectors are available unmounted, mounted on a PCB, or mounted on an aluminum plate. Also available are position-detecting sensors, integrating spheres, and an acoustic detection module.

Two-wavelength SM WDMs
-
Wavelength Division Multiplexers (WDMs) are used to combine or split two different single mode signals with low insertion loss. Thorlabs' WDMs featured on this page are manufactured using Fused Biconic Taper (FBT) technology and are designed for common NIR and telecom wavelengths (see the table to the right for options). They are an ideal solution for combining pump and signal wavelengths in fiber lasers and amplifiers or for combining telecom signals. Our WDMs have undergone extensive testing to ensure they meet or surpass Telcordia requirements; please see the Reliability Testing tab for details.
