Low Voltage Single Ended Probes

A low voltage single-ended probe is typically used for measuring high-speed, ground referenced signals up to 12 V. These low voltage probes are the best choice for making measurements on high impedance, high frequency circuit elements which require minimal probe loading. Users should select probes with a low input capacitance specification (~1 pF) to minimize the probe’s loading effect on the circuit. A probe with lower input capacitance will offer higher input impedance at higher frequencies.

The DB-24R consists of 24 form C, electromechanical relays for efficient switching of load by programmed control. The contact of each relay can control a 0.5 A /110 V load or 1A / 24VDC. The relay is energized by applying a 5 voltage signal to the appropriate relay channel on the 50-pin Opto-22 compatible connector or D-Sub 37 connector . Twenty-four enunciator LEDs, one for each relay, light when their associated relay is activated . This board needs a +12VDC or +24VDC external power supply to avoid overloading your PC’s power supply.

The 40-735 data communications multiplexer is designed for switching the data lines of serial interfaces (RS232, USB). Careful attention to the design of the module ensures that the switching system minimizes its impact on the transmission distance of USB1.1 interfaces. The MUX is available in 36:1 or 18:1 formats and enables a single source of serial data to be switched to one of 36 or 18 devices under test. This allows the data source to load information to, or receive information from, the device under test. The 36:1 version can be software configured into two independent 18 way MUXs enabling two separate sources of serial data to be connected to separate banks of 18 devices. For indirect tensile testing, such as for resilient modulus, these extensometers measure the lateral deformation of specimens. They are self-supporting on the sample and clip on in seconds. The traditional way this deformation has been measured was prone to errors caused by slight rocking of the sample as it is loaded. The self-supporting design of the Model 3911 eliminates this problem. This unit will handle the dynamic pulse requirements of resilient modulus testing.The speed of mounting makes test set-up much faster than with the older method. The pivot mounting used ensures that the specimen contact pads meet the often uneven asphalt surface as well as possible. The measuring range options available allow a wide range of testing, yet can easily measure the sometimes very small displacements required.The Model 3911 extensometers are strain gaged devices, making them compatible with any electronics designed for strain gaged transducers. Most often they are connected to a test machine controller. The signal conditioning electronics for the extensometer is typically included with the test machine controller or may often be added. In this case the extensometer is shipped with the proper connector and wiring to plug directly into the electronics. For systems lacking the required electronics, Epsilon can provide a variety of solutions, allowing the extensometer output to be connected to data acquisition boards, chart recorders or other equipment.
