Optoplex’s MEMS Tunable Optical Filter is based on a patented micro-optic design with MEMS tuning technology. It is an integrated module consisting of a MEMS chip, micro-optics and control electronics and interface. When receiving a stream of optical signals of a plurality of wavelengths from the Input-Port (IN), the 2-port tunable optical filter directs a selected channel to the Output-Port (OUT). Wavelength (frequency) tuning is achieved by changing driving voltage applied to the MEMS chip, via the control electronics and the built-in firmware.

It is often beneficial to use a video driver at the output of a video encoder for power savings, line driving, and additional circuit protection. The video driver is typically configured as an active filter, also known as a reconstruction or anti-imaging filter. The purpose of the reconstruction filter is twofold: it blocks the higher frequency components (above the Nyquist frequency) that were introduced into the video signal as part of the digitization process and provides gain to drive the external 75 Ω cable to the video display.

The Pre-Amplifier contains an AC/DC power supply, internal low noise amplifier, and a bias tee to source a DC bias voltage on the RF input connector.To overcome cable loss between the test antenna and the Pre-Amplifier assembly, a remote low noise amplifier (LNA) is mounted directly onto the 10 GHz antenna.
