The 1206 Industrial Damper System has proven itself in the paper industry for over 15 years in North America and Europe. An Industrial Damper is placed against each end of a calendar roll or yankee roll where the normal roll position presses the damper piston to half of its 1.75 in stroke. Machine users report decreases in resonant vibration which has allowed machine speeds to be increased by up to 30%. The 1206 Industrial Damper System will decrease machine vibration and allow increased throughput in any application where machine performance is being limited by resonant responses in the 1-100 Hz range. Fabry-Pérot interferometers are optical resonators used for high-resolution spectroscopy. They use the phenomenon of multiple-beam interference that results when light shines through a cavity bounded by two reflective parallel surfaces. When the light hits one of the surfaces, some is transmitted out, and the remaining part is reflected back. Fabry-Pérot produces a circular fringe pattern, similar to the Michelson pattern. However, the fringes are thinning, brighter, and more widely spaced. As a result, these instruments are able to detect and resolve the fine features of a transmission spectrum with high precision.

Bulk Acoustic Wave Resonators consist of two metal electrodes above and below a layer of a piezoelectric material. The piezoelectric material converts an electrical signal to a mechanical signal and vice versa. The metal electrodes provide the connections to/from the piezo material. The frequency at which resonance occurs depends on the thickness of the combined metal-piezo-metal stack. Advances in thin-film piezoelectric fabrication have enabled BAW resonators to meet RF filtering challenges up to 6000 MHz using standard MEMS fabrication process. High-performance BAW resonators-based RF filters are made of piezoelectric material having high Q-factor (>3000) and high coupling coefficient. Currently, no competitive technology provides the same high performance for RF filter applications when compared to BAW resonator-based RF filter up to 6000 MHz for the same size and cost.
