Thus, PCI-7296/48/24 can utilize the Opto-22 external devices. The PCI-7296/7248/7224 devices emulate mode 0 of the industry standard 8255 programmable peripheral interface (PPI) chips. The PCI-7296/7248/7224 provides 4/2/1 PPI chips respectively. Each PPI offers three 8-bit ports: Port A, Port B and Port C. The Port C is divided into 2 nibble-wide (4-bit) ports. The PCI-7296/7248/7224 devices have programmable timer/counters. One 16-bit counter is available for event counting, while the other 32-bit timer is available for timed interrupt generation. The PCI-7296/7248/7224 devices provide multiple programmable interrupt sources from DIO channels, as well as the output of the timer.

The PCI-9527L is a high-performance, 2-CH analog input and 2-CH analog output dynamic signal acquisition board. This board is specifically designed for audio testing, acoustic measurement, and vibration analysis applications.The ADLINK PCI-9527L features two 24-bit simultaneous sampling analog input channels. The 24-bit sigma-delta ADC provides a sampling rate up to 216 KS/s at high resolutions, making it ideal for higher bandwidth dynamic signal measurements. The sampling rate can be adjusted by setting the onboard DDS clock source to an appropriate frequency. All channels are sampled simultaneously and accept an input range from ±40 V to ±0.316 V. The PCI-9527L analog input supports software selectable AC or DC coupling and 4 mA bias current for integrated electronic piezoelectric (IEPE) sensors.

To ensure the safety of operator it is essential that the Earth path (connection) should offer minimum impedance to by pass short circuit Current to Earth. This is ensured by measuring Resistance of the Earth path by passing heavy Current say 25 A. The Earth Contact Resistance Tester essentially comprises of a Variable Current source with digital Ammeter to measure the Current supplied. The Voltage drop across the Earth path is measured with a digital Voltmeter. Optionally for a particular Current (25 A) the meter can be calibrated in terms of Resistance. A timer is provided to switch off the Current after the Set Time.
