Matrix Switch Module
The 60-510 is a high density 1-pole matrix module controlled via LXI. It has excellent thermal stability and substantially reduced thermal EMF figures when compared to a conventional switching matrix. Typical applications include signal routing in ATE, selecting thermocouple inputs, switching amplifier gain circuits and high accuracy DC micro-volt measurements. Ruthenium reed switches are used because of their good low level switching capability. They also have a very long life with excellent contact resistance stability, minimal wetting current and low thermal offset.

The Local DSP can be usedto simply move data samples to the CPCI bus or can provide processing functions such as limit checking, FFT’s, digital filtering, etc. Software can be downloaded to the DSP via the CPCI interface.

The 65-280-321 4x4 matrix is part of the 65-280 and 65-281 ranges of optical plug-in modules offering matrix & insert/bypass or multiplexer & SPST topologies respectively with all models based on MEMS fiber optic switches and available in various populations per plugin. In addition, a choice of different connector styles to suit most applications is offered: FC/APC (for optimal performance), FC/PC, SC/PC and ST for general applications and LC for high density applications.
