The PCI516 is based on the Xilinx Virtex-7 690T, which provides 3,600 DSP slices, 52,920 Kb RAM and 690,000 logic cells. The FPGA interfaces directly to the FMC DP 0-9 and all FMC LA/HA/HB pairs, making it compatible with a wide range of industry standard VITA 57 modules. It also has interface to three DDR3 memory channels (64-bit wide and 16-bit wide). This allows for large buffer sizes to be stored during processing as well as for queuing the data to the host. The unit has x8 PCIe edge connector routed to the FPGA PCIe Gen3 hard IP block. In addition, 16 uncommitted connection pairs are routed to a dual x8 expansion connector, providing direct connectivity to a neighbouring FPGA (e.g. via Aurora, 10 G/40 G, SRIO, PCIe) without the need to go through the host.

U4208A and U4209A probe/cables connect W6601A LPDDR4 BGA interposer directly into the U4164A logic analyzer module from 61-pin high density zero insertion force (ZIF) connectors that attach to the W6601A BGA interposer wings. The 7803e low-profile PCI Express serial interface provides eight RS-232 serial ports. For maximum compatibility with a wide range of peripherals, the board supports all standard RS-232 modem control signals. The serial ports utilize 16C954 UARTs with 128-byte Tx/Rx FIFOs that enables data rates to 921.6K bps for reliable high-speed communications in data-intensive applications. This high-performance UART includes 9-bit framing support and is fully software compatible with legacy 16550 applications. In addition, the board derives a 62.5 MHz clock from the PCI Express link. This ultra-high speed clock is divided by a flexible 8-bit clock prescalar with 1/8 steps to provide support for the widest range of standard and non-standard baud rates.
