It was created to allow the FCC to step out of the product approvals role, and to focus more on regulating and market surveillance.Until this system was implemented, most products which intentionally radiate radio frequency energy, and products which connect to the public switched telephone network, were required to be certified with the FCC. This usually meant waiting several months for an approval to sell your product. Compatible Electronics TCB (CETCB) can certify these types of products generally in less than two weeks.

Thorlabs' Optical Spectrum Analyzers (OSAs) perform highly accurate spectral measurements. Compatible with fiber-coupled and free-space light sources, these compact benchtop instruments suit a wide variety of applications, such as analyzing the spectrum of a telecom signal, resolving the Fabry-Perot modes of a gain chip, and identifying gas absorption lines. Many commonly available OSAs use grating-based monochromators, which have slow acquisition times due to the need to mechanically scan the grating and average out noise at each wavelength. Thorlabs' OSAs acquire the spectrum via a Fourier transform using a scanning Michelson interferometer in a push/pull configuration. This approach dramatically improves the acquisition time, enables a high-precision wavelength meter mode with 7 significant figures and ±1 part-per-million accuracy, and allows the included software to provide robust statistical analysis of the acquired spectra, as explained in the Design tab.

Based on our OTP² system platform, we were able to implement a family of scalable test systems which is based on a common systems architecture, e. g. for products in the area of chemical analytics measurement. We not only implemented a universal, extremely comprehensive test system, but also a series of compact systems for benchtop placement which are fully compatible with the larger, universal system. Our specialized self-test adapters and test software enable fast verification of the test systems as well as partly automated calibration by the customer.Our systems are also used in electrical measurement applications, e. g. for calibrating analog input assemblies for PLC technology. For this purpose, specialized calibrators are integrated into the system; they provide traceable calibration of the relevant stimulus signals.

The Solar Reference Cell consist of a 20 x 20 mm monocrystalline silicon Photovoltaic Cell encased in a 92 x 70 x 16 mm metal enclosure with a protective quartz window and a temperature sensor. The temperature sensor is a 100 ohm platinum Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD).The Solar Reference Cells come with a Certificate of Calibration and compatible set of connecting cables. The following parameters of the reference cell are certified: Isc, Imax, Voc, Vmax, Pmax, Area, Fill Factor and Efficiency. The certification is accredited by NIST to the ISO-17025 standard and is traceable both to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), and to the International System of Units (SI). The 60-983 is an LXI compatible Wired Trigger Bus Terminator (WTB) designed to be attached to the end of a WTB cable. The LXI WTB uses a transmission line cable to connect LXI devices together that support the WTB capability of the LXI standard. Like all transmissions it needs to be correctly terminated to avoid reflections that could change the signal amplitude along the cable and generate timing jitter or trigger errors. The 60-983 is a simple terminator that can be placed at each end of the WTB chain to correctly terminate the transmission line with minimal reflections.
