Fairview Microwave’s lines of precision waveguide bends are widely used in applications such as high efficiency RF, microwave and mm-wave transmissions, satellite and military communications, radar, telecom, instrumentation and test benches. In waveguide systems that require a signal to turn or bend 90 degrees, Fairview’s waveguide bends are used to facilitate that bend or turn without degrading the transmission signal. These WG bends operate from 5.85 GHz to 90 GHz across 12 frequency bands and are available in sizes from WR-12 to WR-137. This family of waveguide bends also boast low loss and VSWR as low as 1.08:1 and are available in both E-plane and H-plane configurations. They are constructed using gold plated, oxygen free hard copper (OFHC) or painted copper alloy depending on the model and are also offered with either a UG-style flange per the military standard or a CPR-style flange. Many models are RoHS compliant.

Gavia AUVs can be fitted with the Teledyne Benthos ATM-900 Acoustic Modem. The ATM-900 Series Acoustic Telemetry Modem is the most advanced, multipath and noise tolerant, modem available. They are designed to meet both the high data rate requirements of commercial users, and the higher reliability, lower data rate requirements of the military. The modems employ two modulation techniques: phase shift keying (PSK), which provides the highest bit rate, and multiple frequency shift keying (MFSK), which provides reliability in a multipath environment, or when the modems are required to operate in a low signal-to-noise (SNR) environment. The ATM-910 Series can transmit data using PSK modulation for reception by a Gavia Modem Deckbox, but receives data using MFSK modulation only. MFSK modulation is a spread spectrum modulation process that transmits multiple tones simultaneously.

The ICE3009 subsystem is an agile filter for the VHF-L, VHF-H and UHF frequency bands. It allows operation of a number of transceivers in a cosite environment. The VHF/UHF Filter provides multiple poles of RF selectivity to reduce broadband noise in transmit mode of operation and to reduce interfering signals at the transceiver’s RF input in receive mode at Have Quick II/IIa and SATURN tuning speeds. This design incorporates a flexible control scheme that can be configured at the factory for various radio interfaces (ARC-210, ARC-231, ARINC 429, etc.). The design is highly integrated and includes all filters, amplifiers, power supply, transmit and receive switching (including a bypass mode), and Built-in-Test (BIT). This commercial standard uses Fibre Channel as a point-to-point communication link for low latency with the ARINC818 defining the packetized protocol for transmission of the digital video information. The use of SoC (System on Chip) based core designs with one dual core RISC processor per port, massive DDR3 memory and IRIG-B time encoder/decoder functions are standard. The ARINC818 modules are available in PCIe formats.The new ultra high performance intelligent 4-lane PCIe 2.0 interface modules offer 2 ports with full function test, simulation, monitoring and analyzer functions for ARINC818 interfaces. The frequency ranges are 1 GHz, 3 GHz, 6 GHz, 18 GHz, 26.5 GHz or 40 GHz respectively. A large variety of configuration possibilities makes the TDEMI X to the customized solution perfect fitting into your lab and to your application according to civil standards (e. g. CISPR, EN, FCC Part 15, ANSI C63.2, ANSI C63.4), military standards (e. g. MIL-461G, but also its previous versions and revisions) as well as avionic standards (e. g. DO-160). The frequency range of the TDEMI X instruments starts at 9 kHz in its standard configuration and can be extended down to 10 Hz by the option MIL/DO-UG or even down to DC by the available option OSC-UG as well. The Chroma 6500 series Programmable AC Power Source delivers the right solution to simulate all kinds of normal/abnormal input conditions and measure the critical characteristics of the product under test. It can be used for R&D design characterization, production testing, and QA verification of commercial, industrial, and aerospace electronic products. The Chroma 6500 series delivers maximum rated power for any output voltage up to 300 Vac, and at any frequency between 15Hz to 2000Hz. It is suitable for commercial applications (47-63Hz); for avionics,marine, military applications at 400Hz or higher frequency; or for electrical motor, air-conditioner test applications at 20Hz. All models generate very clean sine or square waveforms output with typical distortion less than 0.5%. The Chroma 6500 series has built-in Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) Waveform Generator to provide user programmable high precision waveform. For testing products under AC line distortion conditions, clipped sinewave can be generated with 0% to 43% distortion and amplitude from 0% to 100%. It also can simulate all kinds of power line disturbances such as cycle dropout, transient spike, brown out, phase angle, voltage and frequency ramp up (ramp down), etc.. Up to 30 harmonic waveforms are factory installed, and testing for compliance to AC line harmonic immunity standards can be easily achieved in the field.
